My interest has been piqued
Jan. 4th, 2010 08:32 amI was just browsing on Amazon and came across a comic series that has captivated my interest. Now, everyone knows I am not a "comics" kind of guy. Never have been outside of the Sunday funnies. But this seems, well, kind of cool.
Y: The Last Man
Basically, every male on Earth drops dead with the exception of an escape artist named Yorick and his male monkey, Ampersand. Everything else with a Y chromosome dies (animals included). Sounds nifty. And odd. It appears the series has now concluded, and it printed as ten volumes (with 5 issues per).
And I think I am going to grab the first few volumes and see what I think.

ETA: On recommendation of a friend through FriendBookFaceSpace, I also picked up a volume of Scott Pilgrim. It, too, sounds fun. It is about a guy who must defeat the evil boyfriends of his crush. I knew of this title from the upcoming flick this summer, but did not know it was a comic. How fun...
